5 Tips for How To Fix Perm-Damaged Hair

Damage care before applying perms

Care before applying perms is just as important as after.
The more damaged the hair is, the more susceptible it is to further damage.

In other words, the degree of damage is different between perms on completely undamaged hair and perms on hair that is already damaged.

As a pre-treatment for perms, have your hair undergo an intensive damage care treatment at a hair salon before having a perm.

Apply perms while moisturizing

Since the perm method uses chemicals to bend hair, it is not possible to fundamentally eliminate damage.

However, it is possible to reduce the dryness that causes damage.

Use treatments with moisturizing and repairing effects both before and after perms.

Do not immediately reapply perms.

If you are not satisfied with the result of your perm, do not immediately re-do it. It is important to leave at least one to two months between perms.

Use deep conditioning treatments.

Use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week to repair and nourish hair. For more information, consult your stylist for recommendations.

Trim regularly

Regular trimming will help remove split ends and prevent further damage. Also, use a wide-toothed comb to avoid pulling or damaging the hair.
